What we love about 312 Main
Creative Blueprint, our planning partner, was the lead consultant for 312 Main Street, bringing a wealth of experience and insights that can be directly applied to our organization. This space has become a driver for change in their community, through their focus on nonprofit support, community building, and economic development.
Highlights
This space covers 105,000 sq. ft over 7 floors, and the design was built to serve 1200+ daily users. The building used to cost the city $2M per year sitting abandoned (former Vancouver Police HQ) and was turned it into a vibrant and active community asset, generating sustainable, local, community wealth. It requires constant consultation with coworking members, community members, and the 3 host nations: the x史m蓹胃k史蓹y虛蓹m (Musqueam), S岣祑x瘫w煤7mesh (Squamish), and s蓹lilw蓹ta涩 (Tsleil-Waututh) peoples - the original inhabitants of the unceded land which is now known as the city of Vancouver. Anchor tenants include Vancity Community Foundation, Simon Frasier University, the Union of BC Indian Chiefs (UBCIC), Megaphone Magazine, and hundreds of other local social enterprises, non-profit orgs, and artist members.
